Quail chicks brooder problem

Hi I got 4 day old chicks in the brooder and they are huddling together on top of each other killing themselves.

But they are not doing it under the lamp but in one of the corners.

Temperature is controlled at 35 degrees so it shouldn't be because of cold

What can I do as some chicks are being crushed and soffocated.

If they're huddling and climbing on each other, they're cold. You might try moving the food into the warm spot until they figure out where it is. Do you have a thermometer on the floor at their level so you know for certain what the temperature is?
