Hi, we hatched 28 coturnix quail eggs and were happy for 2 days. Today 11 died... they start off with there necks going droopy like they have broken their neck then can't walk anymore. They close there eyes and male little opening closing movements with their beaks. We then try everything:dipping their beaks in water, putting them in extra heat. They eventually stiffen and die in my hand.... we're so upset. Could it be disease? The others are all healthy, there eating,drinking and active. Could it be genetic? The quail mothers share same coop with father but also their brother. Could inbreeding occur and affect eggs? How can we stop them dying? We currently trying everything for two who are over weak. Thanks.
