Hey all! We recently acquired some quail to restart our covey - as was originally intended. We had limited space and ended up with only two hens before (and a heck of a lot of Roos), both hens have now passed by natural causes. Now we have no HoA and plenty of yard! Their outdoor aviary/tractor is almost finished - still working on predator proofing.

I’ve got ten awesome babes that I’ve had for a couple weeks now. They are currently at 5 weeks old and I was hoping someone more experienced could help with identifying the colors/patterns I’ve got.

There are three tuxedo(?) that I’m most curious about. They have different patterning on their feathers, but are a similar auburn hue. I believe the one with the dark face is a hen due to behavior, and I believe the one with the cheek spots may be male. However - most of these chicks are not supposed to be feather sexable.

I’m happy to get some clearer pics if needed!

But if anyone can chime in their thoughts on the possible colors/patterning I’d greatly appreciate it 😊

Here is what I’ve got (all are celadon layers):
4 English whites
3 tuxedos/mixes?
1 falb fee? (hen/sparkly? Behaviors indicate she may be a hen, either way currently an absolute drama queen and I love them)
2 Tibetans

Thanks so much!

The first picture looks like grau fee. Falb fee is pharaoh without the red. The second picture looks like a rosetta tux. Your dark one is tibetan.
