Quail Coop

I've been raising 5 button quail which are now over 2 weeks old, and am going to soon move them into a ginormous coop with a nesting area and a run in. I'm looking to eventually add in more button quail. I'm wondering if it would be possible to add in different animals? I'd also like to add in Coturnix Quail, and against my wishes my father also wants to add in chickens. Can they all share an area? Can they all have the same nesting area? Will they get along well, or would they fight?

Please do not put coturnix quail in with your buttons. They are likely to harm them. Chickens may even eat them after they kill them. Another thing to worry about would be disease. Chickens can carry diseases that they are resistant to but that quail are not.

i know im very late to answer but in a big enough space buttons and coturnix can thrive together (or at least mine do) early on there were some very minor attacks but from what ive seen they have actually been doing better since i moved them in with the coturnix ones and ive had much much less bullying

I'm not saying that it isn't possible, but it's not a good idea. The best environment I've ever seen buttons in was an aviary that took up almost all of the person's back yard, with a tiny stream (about 2-3" wide) running down one side. The companion birds in there were finches. I would love to do something like that someday.
