I plan on making a nice large enclosure for my quail in another week or two. Ive whipped this up in the mean time to give my girls something that will be closer to their permanent home.
Has a wire bottom in half and the other half is a nice closed in area for them. (Using the shelves from the cupboard) iv attached somme wood notches to the bottom so i can slide these pieces of cardboard that came with the house12 years ago. (Theyre like bundled in 50s and we have like 2 dozen bundles. I love em)
Really simple design. Any cupboard that doesn'thave a solid back (could be solid, just have to get in there and clean) but just add hardware cloth to the bottom and cut in a window across the front for them. I think this could house 4 or 5 quail nicely.
