Ok so its storming here cant really get out and play so for the last few days ive been gathering my cot eggs for incubation. Well i read and read and read about storing at 55 degree F. and 70% humidity i looked and looked and pondered how can i do this my house temp is 75 its 104 outside then i thought I'll try this i had an old igloo lunch box i sat my carton of cot eggs in there stole my wifes ice packs from the freezer until i get my ice blocks frozen. I put a towel on top just for added insulation so far its been holding between 57 and 59 for 5 hours inside the carton thats where the probe is.

alot of people may already know this trick to keeping eggs fresher for incubating but for those like me that couldnt find a way maybe this will help you out on having better hatches.

I was gonna do that but my fridge is set at 36 i know i have to store the eggs atleast 7 days to get what i want to hatch i kept reading where under 55 would hurt the eggs these are still sitting at 57 in the lunch box. Have your hatches been ok keeping eggs in the fridge?

It drops some but still better then 50%. Set them close to the door & in you crisper drawer. You can also move your milk to the back of the fridge & get by with turning the fridge up.
