I have two celedon quail that pipped at the opposite end of their egg. One pipped Friday day 16, and today is Sunday haven’t seen any progress.

Another pipped yesterday, and I can see movement, but she’s not progressing at all, she may be stuck?

I have an NR 360… many have hatched already with several more to go…

Can I go in and grab them in a millisecond?????

You can open the incubator and quickly grab them, I add water a few minutes before to spike humidity. I’d widen the holes a bit, but if you see blood stop, they aren’t mature yet. Also if they are making a chewing motion they may still be absorbing yolk. If there’s no blood you can widen the hole and see if they are ready to hatch or can’t for some reason. Backwards chicks can be a fluke, have a developmental issue, or develop issues because of being backwards (I’ve got one with a slight wry neck and blind eye that does just fine but needed help hatching). Others may be deformed or underdeveloped and just can’t hatch or won’t survive long even if helped.
