Quail eggs died just before hatching.

Its one of those china incubators and its fan operated and its 2 ventilation holes just above the fan.Its a large incubator that has a capacity of 36 chicken eggs and 144 quail eggs, and i had 27 quail eggs in it.
I also opened the lid for a few seconds once a day to check for movement on the eggs. But dont think that could have hurt them since the temperature never went down more than less than a 0,5 Celsius

Have new eggs in the incubator now, after a suggestion from a local hatcher i am incubating them at lower humidity now.

Think i found out what might have happened. When i had power outage during the counter sets itself to zero,But i forgot to note down the date and trusted the counter to be correct. So when hatching was supposed to start they was in the wrong position so they didnt get enough force to break the airpocket.
This time i used the excel file from "hatching 101" from this website and noted everything 3 times a day they started to hatch today on the 17th day of incubation.

So i hope the rest of the hatching process goes well.I have assisted hundres of calves and thousands of pigs to the world but chickens is the first time so its like x-mas for me right now :)

The post you showed pictures that was definately a malposition, the beak should have been there rather than toes. But I dont get why so many were like that-did you incubate upside down?? The eggs should go in with the big end up pointy end down?

The eggs was with the big end up,the eggs i put in the incubator now hatched without problems. This time i didnt add water until i pulled them out of the eggturner.
And so far i have 13 quail chickens out of 17 eggs.
