A couple questions about quail egg fertility and reproduction:

- A fully developed yoke enters the oviduct.
- At this point it passes over a pouch of stored sperm?(yes/no/before/this happens later?)
- Yoke then gets the rest of the egg formed around it over X hours. (25 hours for chicken)

What is the time for a quail(coturnix) ova to go from yoke to egg.

If my quail made love at 4pm this afternoon, but she laid an egg this morning at 9am, tomorrow morning her egg would be infertile. But the egg after that would be fertile, yes?

How many eggs can be fertilized by the sperm stored by my female?

This info is easier to find for chickens, but would love to get answers specific to quail(coturnix). If the answers for Californias, or Bob Whites are different, then please post also. So that we have a single point of data to reference. Thanks.
