Quail eggs under a chicken??

I am more afraid of the diseases my poultry will get if the chickens aren't there to kill mice for me.
I seperated Hens and quails, the house next door was being renevated. I put the hens back in the shed. to get all the mice.
put out traps too.
Sorry I ever seperated my chickens and quail.

Here is the video.
Thank you very much for linking that, speedy. That is the person I was referring to.

Concerning diseases, there's some unintentional fear-mongering going in the states right now with quail & chickens together. In Canada, UK & other areas of the world you just don't hear about it.

The big threat for quail vs chickens seems to be Coryza. An outsider chicken that is infected can kill a flock of quail very easily (as well as sickening other chickens). However, when you have folks who've raised their birds right (organic, immune boosting foods, etc) & raised them with chickens for many, many generations, such a disease is not an issue because the immune system & genetics can handle it. Newly introduced birds are quarantined & healthy specimens brought in - quarantine time is VERY important no matter if it's quail, chickens, ducks or whatever.

However, when you keep quail away from chickens for many generations, possibly inbred as well (you have to make sure you're getting from a reputable seller + practicing good breeding methods) & don't expose them to the local soil nor raise them with healthy foods then yeah, they're much more prone to getting sick when a new bird is introduced.

If you want to raise your quail healthy along side chickens, or even by themselves, look into quail tractors, organic food, high/fresh proteins (real bugs!), ACV & fermented feeds. Yogurt brings in probiotics & garlic is especially good w/ mite & internal parasite issues. Also wood ash mixed w/ peat or sand is great at preventing mites & lice. Get them on the ground regularly, tasting your local soil & building up their immune systems.

Of course you can raise them how you want. Just offering ideas/suggestions. I always feel prevention & focus is much better than cleaning up mistakes after the fact.
