I have an still air incubator with no auto turner. do you have to lay the eggs on the wire instead of making the big side on facing up?
 
Yes, you can lay them on their side and try to turn at least 3 times a day by hand. Mark X and O on opposite sides of the egg and use that to judge that you turned them all. Good luck with your hatch.

Complete rotation is not necessary, Just jilting 3 times a day is sufficient to keep the embryo from sticking
