My peafowl haven't started laying yet though. Still to cold for them here in Ontario. My peahens don't usually start laying until late July or early August. The birds that are keeping me the most busy right now are my ducks!

My quail are White Bobwhite's so all white ..... no way to sex by color.

I am getting 4 white bobs either tomorrow or thursday, I was told females have pink/light colored beaks while males have black beaks

Have looked a couple times but they won't stay still long enough for me to study the beaks. Some are mostly all black, less have light color but black on the tips. Maybe saw one with no black. I need to sit there a while and let them calm down. They aren't frightened of me just moving around all the time. Wish I had their energy. They actually come to my feet hoping I'm going to lean over and set down squished strawberries or some other treat. I want to see if one with a light beak calls so it will take some patience. I'll let you know.

I dont think that way works.....I put a light beak and a dark beak together and they started to beat the snot out of each other
