Quail escaped. Any hope of finding it?

As soon as I opened the door to feed my quail one flew out the door and out of the shed they are in. It originally went into a small field. I searched for about 20 minutes and finally saw it, but as soon as I saw it it flew about 15 feet in the air over the fence between my and my neighbors property. I looked for it more and didn't see anything. I've pretty much lost hope at this point. It's a tiny button quail and it's tan so it blends in with literally everything.

I doubt it. Maybe ask you neighbors if you can go on their property? Then try to listen to it to see if it crows (male or female?)

Female. I tried playing quail calls to see if it would respond but nothing.

It is remotely possible, but unlikely.

This won't help with the one that is already gone but to avoid anything like it happening in the future you should clip their wings. They can still jump very high and run very fast but they won't be able to fly out of sight
