Quail Feed :o

I just had a guy at the feed store *insist* that GBS was "just fine" for my chickens. Nope. I finally had to tell the guy that I'm not feeding my chickens Game Bird food. Firmly. Like, just have the $hit that people need and quit lying to them! I'd not feed my quail chicken food either! A quick look at both labels will reveal the differences. Man.

On a side note, I love JJ's "answer shopper" comment. OMG If you're only going to believe the ones that say what you want to hear, don't ask!

OMG - this is the funniest thread I've ever read!!! Thanks for all the info......wow, I never knew you could keep polar bears with quail!! Does that mean I can keep my tiger with my quail? And then the tiger and the quail can share feed, right?

Well many people told me not to buy Dumor since it has low protein and is not that good for quails..
But Dumor was the only feed that I can find for my button quails..
Other feeds were TOO BIG and TOO expensive.
I only raise them as pets

(since they are so tiny and so cute and makes funny noises)
So I just tried out Dumor feed and is working great for me.
They are all healthy and everything.
I don't know if it just works on my birds.....
I'm not suggesting anybody to go out and buy Dumor for their quails but I'm just saying....
It will be better if you can find high protein feed like Purina but in case if you can't find anything, see if Dumor might work..
Just saying..

Way too high in protein as far as I was concerned. So now the quail are enjoying some high protein, get em' up and going, Turkey starter.
