So I have an outside brooder with wire floor for crap to fall on ground. The only problem the little buggers kick all there food all over the ground. So i was tiring to come up with a better way to feed them to prevent waste of food. I seen a photo a while back with a pvc pipe hanging on the side of a pen once but I can't remember where I seen it. If anyone has any suggestion please let me know. I also seen the one photo of galv. feeder hanging off side which look liked it worked great but wasn't sure about the plastic can holder. I don't think I could do that since it gets so hot, I would be worried about plastic poisioning.

Thanks

Dom

I was actually having the same problem. I liked the idea that others were using the rabbit feeders that hung on the side of the cage, however when I tried to find them I could not find any with the solid bottoms. I went to Tractor Supply, several feed stores, and even Petco. The only solid ones I could find was online. So for a tempory solution I took a sandwich size tubberware (approx size is square 6" by maybe 3" depth) and cut four circle holes in the lid so the quail could get to the feed. This way with the lid on when they knock the feed side to side it stays in the container. So far it seems to be working until I can get something different.

that may be a question for my bud BigJim, they are hanging at his house....hmmm, I would guess, if the top was 0, its only like a 12-15 degree angle max., bought them from a gentleman in Newberry, Florida who raises bobwhites, nice guy.
