Quail fighting suddenly

Hi i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas why my quail started fighting suddenly
Basicly i have 2 quail both female around 2 years old now upto now no major fights just a peck at each other when worms/crickets come out as a like its mine type thing but the last day they keep biting each others head when they get close and one seems walk funny (like hobble and flap) i seperated tehm in there cage now with an old bird bars (old panel from big bird cage) changed bedding and each have seperate water and food now but they still keep trying to peck through the bars now and then.
No other signs of mites etc and they just started randomly(the one with hobble fights back too just more hobble/tip over type walk while other more a panicy run around edges of cage)

it might be the changing of the seasons or because they're molting our birds start pecking other birds then they start to drop feathers everywhere

Oh gosh I'm sorry! I don't know but my lady quail do fight with each other periodically. It doesn't get too violent and they've got plenty of space so I dont worry about it. Do they have any dirt to bathe in?

What kind of quail and what are the sexes?

Both female i think there japanise quail and even with a bar seperating them there still trying now and then so put foam board sheet to block visual for now hopefully it is a change season type thing and there flooring now like inch of sepolite and just changed the top layer of old paper shreadings to new and gave the sand a good mix

And im only abit worried as upto now it normally no major fights but one walks funny (possibly splayed legs or just weird balance from dirt on foot etc) and although seems to get a few grabs in i wanna make sure nothing to bad atm

just removed the visual layer last night (bars still up and for some reaon one decided to wander to others area and seem to be calm atm so seems like everything back to chill mode for now hopefully stays that way
