New to the forum. Looking to start a quail program on my place. Now have two incubators to start hatching and brooding quail to release on my farm really miss the old Bobwhite songs..

I read an article a couple of days ago that said raising quail like that does not work. They do not establish when hatched by people and released.

You could raise coturnix Japonica for your self!

That was not true. It has been proven that if you brood and release the birds in an area where you plan on building a covey at the 4 to 5 week of age they'll gradually make a come back. Habitat habitat habitat. Go to surrogator.com and look at the item used.
