That was not true. It has been proven that if you brood and release the birds in an area where you plan on building a covey at the 4 to 5 week of age they'll gradually make a come back. Habitat habitat habitat. Go to surrogator.com and look at the item used.

Wow. The Quail Forever office we're governed out of is in Tennessee. We really promote habitat to try and bring the quail back to the wild. It's not easy at all. We've put over 50 acres back into CRP and cp 33 programs governed by the local NRCS office. Provided your property qualify you can be approved for a lot of assistance. Hope this helps.

Yes. Only native birds are allowed for release. Here in Mississippi I only release Northern Bobwhite.

Habitat is definitely the key here. Extensive prescribed burning and row disking to create the canopy Iver head to prevent overhead predators and opened at ground level for the birds to be able to navigate from field to field. Also the burning promote insects to gather for the new greenery.
