ah thats a shame. a good sign is that one of my chicks that had this problem is now improving so fingers crossed for my other one. yh im from winchester so i may pop up and see you one day haha. do you just have italians whites and japaneses or do you have things like tibetan , golden, etc??

at the moment i have a bit of a mix golden Italian, Japanese, English whites

they all hatched together so need to wait for feathering then separate them into separate pens

Chicken people make some type of of shoe for them made of cardboard for the bottom and I think surgical tape to hold the feet to the bottom. This is usually for splayed toes but I think if you did a search it would show several examples. Some people think foot problems are caused by issues with the incubators. I would theink heredity plays a strong part also.
