I created this mainly for the reason that yesterday I went out and got some quails 4 slightly bigger ones and 1 hatchling so far he's not eating and won't stop crying I've made sure it's warm enough and that they have enough food and water the food isn't too big for him because half is crumbs and half is powdery but he will not eat and stop crying I have attempted to feed him boiled egg yolk and he ate very little and wasn't interested in it all what should I do please help I don't want my hatchling to die

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Have you checked your young quail for pasty butt? He could be bunged up and in need of it cleaning up. Could the other larger quail be picking on the hatching? There seems to be quite a big difference in age with them. Please do pop by the quail section where I'm sure the keepers will be able to help you. Good luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Please do check on the quail thread. I am guessing that they need a heat lamp like chicks or ducklings would. He may be too cold for comfort.
