Quail having trouble getting up and walking

It turns out she has Marek's. I gave her St. John's Wort for about and she's walking again, just a bit wobbly tho

I'm thinking of giving her turmeric now; anyone know how to give that to quail s?

Sorry to highjack your thread. Glad you found a solution and she's getting better. Will have to find out what 'Marek's is incase I ever need to know for our quail. Such a great feeling when you can save one of these gorgeous birds.

I have a 2 1 week baby quail who is perfectly healthy.Eating drinking well but can not walk and is not growing like the other ones any suggestions?

This is an old thread, but your question is new. I'm going to guess that what the experts will tell you is that you should cull it. If it isn't growing like the other ones, it probably isn't "perfectly healthy."

I'm having a similar problem but its with a 3 day old quail chick. Its leg movment are weird and it keeps trying to sit on its head. It has been happening since it hatched. Is there a way to fix it or should I put it down?

If it's been like that since it hatched and isn't showing any improvement, it would probably be kindest to cull the poor thing. Sometimes they just have something wrong with them when they hatch.
