Quail Hutch Question

My quail hutch is 2 feet wide and 8 feet long. I am going to put a removable divider in the middle to divide in to 2 section. Would it be better if the divider was solid or wire mesh. Here is a picture of my hutch.
 
It depends. If you plan on mixing the groups together at some point, you would be better off with wire so they are used to seeing each other and mixing goes well. If you are never going to mix these groups or want to separate hens from roos, then a solid wall is best.

Wasn't planning on mixing them I was planning to have one roo and 6-7 hens on each side.
 
Great job on the hutch! That turned out beautifully!

Thank you. Lots of help from this forum as far as far as design and suggestions still a work in progress. Got 60 eggs in the bator, have a brooder built so it's up to the good lord now.
