Quail Just Chocked randomly and Died?

Hey, I've had this quail for about 6 month she was a laying hen and was white colour.
Just recently I was cleaning their Coop and noticed she had been chocking on her mucus she produced since due was quite ill from some sort of respiratory issue.
I thought she was okay since she did this before and she fell over in fear and came around afterwards. But this time she just Chocked and suddenly just passed.
Such shame these things happen

I'm sorry for your loss. Because avian influenza is such an issue these days, though, I would recommend sending her to your state's necropsy lab for testing. If you have other birds, you really want to know.
