Hello,
I have read a lot about keeping quail, and most experts say that quail need 1-1.5 square feet per bird, and approximately 4 hens to 1 roo for fertile eggs.
I would like to offer the quail more space, but I don't want to set them up for fighting, etc. I found this link on youtube:
Is something like this possible (obviously on a waaayyyy smaller scale). Are they all females in there? Can quail be happy in large numbers? What is the highest number of quail you have in one enclosure.
Any experience/advice would be appreciated. These are mostly pets so I'm not hugely concerned with ratios etc. Hopefully we'll get some eggs and meat in the future though.
Thank you!
