quail names

I had a crazy Bobwhite Quail named Simon. Wow, was he an "in your face" kind of bird! This bird seriously knew his name, came when called, he knew certain commands, what a character!! I miss this bird greatly. He passed away this past September 21, 2017 at the ripe old age of 7 yrs, 5 months and 11 days. Hatched him myself.

I like old lady names for mine...Ive got Betty, Olive, Nora, Harriet, Pearl and Vivian.

I named my hens; Sunset, Warrior, Ellie, and Little-Crooked-Neck. I also named mine after their behavior and how they look. Sunset's chest looks like a sunset, with a reddish hew on bottom and speckles on top. warrior is my toughest quail, yet has a gentle side too. my cousin asked me to name one of my quail after her. little crooked neck has wry neck, and a head injury, that makes it look like she is raising an eyebrow.

Well, do you think you could remember thousands of birds names? I started calling them all by that when I was running a commercial operation. I was hatching out over 5,000 birds a year for 10 years!
