Quail not laying?

I've only got 1 egg ever from my 9 week old coturnix quail. I live in socal. Are there any ways to get them to lay?

If they have all what they need (and you are sure you have females), patience is the key. Soon they'll lay lots of eggs

I often don’t have girls reliably laying until 10-11 weeks, some even 12. They start when they’re ready, just be sure they have enough room, good m/f ratio, food, water, calcium (eggshell or oyster shell), 14-15 hours of sunlight per day, and be certain they aren’t being stressed by predators or pets.
