I got two new female quails for my male quail. They seem to feel comfortable with each other and not threatened. Playing and eating together.
However one female has started to try and peck either the male or other female if they get near. I don’t want the other two to feel uncomfortable in their own home but don’t want to remove the female who is pecking as she seems to like her new home and friends. :) What is the best solution? And also the reason for this?

They are just beginning to adjust to one another and their new environment. Monitor to assure that aggression does not escalate, but allow them time to adjust.
Ah okay. Thank you. I thought this at first but then thought the two females had previously lived together so didn’t think that was the reason.

@sourland , has given you some sound advice! Only thing I have to add to it is, be prepared to separate them if they get real aggressive, plus watch them very closely, as they can murder eachother in a manner of minutes, sometimes.
