Quail pens, anybody build their own?

He said 8x10 "like a shoebox" so I'm assuming he was talking about inches.

8x10 feet would not be like a shoebox.

8 inches by 10 inches is way too small for even one button quail. WAY TOO SMALL.

Why would somebody make a cage that small? He must be talking about a colony cage. The shoe box thing might be the shape of it. Or it could be a transport cage.

I can't imagine why someone would make a cage that small. Then again, picture the battery cages that they use in egg factories (I refuse to call them farms). They are pretty danged small for the size of the birds that are stuffed into them. Also, consider the ridiculous cups sold as betta tanks...also cruel. So, it's entirely possible (almost probable) that some idiot out there thinks shoeboxes are big enough homes for birds...

Basically, I'm just wanting to clarify this with the OP...

Oh I agree with the battery cages, I was just clarifying the cages by brakenridge

Oh yes, Bracken Ridge has awesome cages. I have half-formed plans circulating in my mind to build some that are similar. Well, okay, they are 3/4 formed. I have most of the supplies sitting here. I just need to get some zip ties (cause I'm using them to connect everything since I'm lazy).
