One of my coturnix quail hens was standing on one leg yesterday. Today when I held her to check on her leg, both legs gave out!

I separated her and I'm using a make shift towel nest to keep her wait off her legs.

Does anyone know what is wrong with her and what I can do to help her?

Check her head for wounds or feather damage, often this type of behavior can be caused by them flushing in fear and colliding with the ceiling. Other times this behavior is an indicator of nerve damage. If it is hot and the bird didn't drink for a long enough period of time it can develop nerve damage which is fatal. This type of behavior can be a disease indicator as well so be sure to keep a close eye on the rest of the birds. I would lean more toward the first two causes than the last. Especially given that the weather has been warming up quickly (at least where i am). If the bird hit it's head, given time isolated and kept warm, it is possible that it will heal. If it doesn not show improvement within the next 48 hours or appears to be suffering you may have to euthanize it. You can purchase a product called vita-sol or any other liquid vitamin supplement from most pet stores. You can add this to the water based on the instructions on the bottle, it may or may not help. When ill they will consume less food and water so i do this to make what water they do consume as useful to them as possible. If it wont eat try feeding it meal worms, millet, rape seed, bread crumbs, or whatever it will eat.
