Quail questions.....

I've heard the Jumbo Butler Bobwhites are the largest, with the Georgia Giants close behind. But that may just be for the breed. Coturnix eggs are larger than Bobwhites. Most of my hens lay almost every day on the proper diet.

If you take your forefinger and curl it so your fingertip touches the knuckly of your thumb, bobwhites are just slightly smaller than that, and pure white. Coturnix eggs are larger, and some have been the size of bantam chicken eggs.

Here's some photos... the round tan thing on the right side of the incubator is a wine-cork... to give you size reference.
