Quail questions?

Thank!! the reason for asking is he had some spotting hear and there. But hardly any. You might not be able to tell verry well in the photo.

thanks!! this is one reason i was curious these feathers are hidden by the white one's and there are hidden feather on the brest with tiny spots.

What is the wooo wooo sound do they make it when excited or when they are just sitting there

The woo woo sound is one only king quails do. It is sort of like a growl to threaten other quails (or people). Here's a video of it (if you watch past the loud crowing, you'll see the quail's throat puff out and hear a faint growling noise). It's hilarious to watch such a small bird think they can threaten you.

Verry interesting i have never had any of my quail make that sound. Just the purring. And what sounds like a jack hammer when they dont like another quail(or me. Had a roo do that at me once).
