This is a contest for quail. I like my quail alot and like to show them off so I figured someone else would too.

The rules are pretty simple at most 3 pictures per quail and up to 2 quail per person.

This is the example sorry it's a bad pic

Personality and fun facts are optional.
I'm judging this contest myself but there's no prize.

Name: Lynx
Age: almost 1 year (though photos are when she was younger)
Personality: Cautious but curious
Fun facts: She started out with red tail feathers and a smattering of blue through her chest (2 colours that are strictly for the boys in Button quail), and still had these when she started laying eggs, but now she has molted them out and looks like a normal cinnamon hen.

Just beautiful- Jae G raising anymore Java finches???

I'm trying to convince all my birds that they don't need to be raising families at the moment, what with hopefully moving soon. We just kept one pair of Javas, the ones with the worst feet after their father chewed on them, and the female has been laying eggs in the food bowl, but the male has the worst toes (little Stumpy) so not sure he's going to be able to be a father. I tried putting one under some Society finches but it didn't develop. I would like some more eventually, once we are all settled, but they are hard to find, especially the fawn ones.

I was taking updated pictures of everyone today for my records so why not!

5 week old charcoal japanese coturnix cockerel. He goes by "Charcoal" since I have only one plain one, very imaginative. He's a very sweet little guy, he's currently paired up with a hen that was getting agitated in more communal living/with more aggressive males and the two of them are best buddies. He was being most cooperative for the camera and has the best lighting so he is my new avatar.

8 week old tibetan japanese coturnix with a partial tuxedo/bib. Even though he is actually one of the more common colors I have, I think he is my favorite roo in my system right now, hands down. He is very protective over his hens and I am especially excited to see what he produces with his falb fee girlfriend you can see partially in the second picture.
