Yesterday I noticed that three of twelve of my 3 week old coturnix chicks have bald scaly patches on their backs. One of them, we noticed, smelled awful and today that same one has a crooked beak. Any idea what might be going on?
Some background: on June 2nd they started plucking feathers because of a feed issue (not enough protein) which I quickly rectified but the only feed available was medicated gamebird starter but I had no choice. I am figuring the plucking episode caused the stress that could have brought on the illness but they were looking so good for a few days and then this!
Can someone help?
