Quail sick

A person can survive but it can make them throw up, and can cause a lot of pain if they eat enough of it. Quail are a lot smaller so it's a lot worse for them. Try to give her cold water, pick her up and gently massage her. If she survives until tommorow then take her to the vets. I don't know if she'll make it, they're so small. Sorry :[

Hmm. Well I'm planning on staying up through the might every hour or so to give water and food. She doesn't look worse, she's very alert but looks paralysed like she has no control over motor functions. She walks with me holding her body up, she can kick like normal (if she doesn't like something).

Let's hope she makes it through the night. First thing is to find a vet that knows quail.

Even if the vet doesn't have past experience with quail they'll still have a good understanding of animals in general, and the effects of poisons and toxins, So any vet should be fine if you can't find someone who's dealt with quail before.
The problem with arrowhead is that it can really irritate the throat, and cause swelling, that would explain why she's struggling to breath.

Wow, makes sense. Thank you! I will post an update.

Only reason I'm iffy on vets about specific species, is I found a domestic bunny on a walk, took it to the vets to have it checked and they couldn't even sex it, and looked at it "Yah he's healthy" and that was it.

For the poison that makes sense.

Yeah I can understand why you feel that way about vets, some seem to be better than others (A vet once dropped my hamster Dx).

I don't know what else you can do now but wait, so fingers crossed she recovers.

Turns out, not poisoning. Looks like the bird hit it's head real bad. It makes sense, since the night before I saw all their stuff knocked around (not sure what happened).

Turns out she wasn't gasping for air, her breathing was fine, the opening and closing was nerves. That's gone now, yay.

On day 3 now and she still can't walk or hold herself up, but she's trying, so I made a sling to hold some weight off. But, she's eating and drinking without force. One big change was she couldn't bend her legs, today she can fully and easily.

Looks like brain swelling was preventing motor functions, cognitively the bird was good and alert but tired and weak. I'm hoping every day she gets better, she desperately trying to walk when she has energy.

Oh wow, that's great news :D .. well not the head hitting part but, you know, the fact she's recovering, I was certain that if it was poisoning she wasn't gonna make it.
