Wet quail poop stinks to high heavens no matter what you feed them.

You couldn't have timed it better. We just got a major soaking here on Oahu. What is it with quail not wanting to take high ground during a rain? Instead of retreating to the coop they spent their days on soggy shavings.

Yep. My pens are half covered, and they choose to stand in the mud.

This is SO true!! Almost nothing worse than wet quail poop!!

Thank you everyone for your input . I'm feeding a locally made feed made by Horizon Feeds. My Quails' poop isn't terrible until it gets wet.... then OMG **faints** LOL! It turns out I had a leaky water bottle. I can't wait till I get a proper cage for my little minions. It will be so much easier to control stuff like smell and messes!

There you go the first thing I was going to say is that if you are cleaning enough if I get a whiff of bird it’s because something somewhere is damp/wet!
