Quail suddenly scared of me?

So I have a 2week-3week ol' quail. Today, I took her for a walk outside. In the middle of her walk, she got ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED of me! Explain, anyone?

Do you take her out for a walk regularly? Quail are birds that everything likes to eat, so they do scare easily.

Yes, regularly.
Also, she came back 2 normal, after a while at home. Thank you! She's very tame.

It sounds like she is. Even a very tame bird will get scared if something moves unexpectedly or she notices a predator.

How do you take her for a walk? I have two tame chicks that I let in the backyard with me, but I am terrified that they'll spook and fly where I can't follow; or that something will swoop down to eat them before I can react.

Hawks don't really come with a human around. That chick was still in the phase of "FOLLOW HUMAN AT ALL COSTS"

I have had several hawks swoop down to the aviary while I was standing in it. Fortunately the quail were shielded, but I don't trust that a hawk would not snatch a bird right in front of me if it could.

I guess the hawks around me are more scared of humans.

Mine gets terrified when I dress in black. Maybe a raven fearing instinct? Quails really get scared at silly things
