So, I wanted some quail... It was a "when we have time/money/energy/in our next life'' sort of thing. But the neighbor girl got some African quail at 4H, and now they need a home. My home was her preference.
So, what do I do? what do they need? I know nothing about quail. I googled and found many different links under African quail. are the blues and the buttons the same thing? Have I accepted miniature quail?
I won't get them until they head off for vacation, so I have time to prepare. What information do I need to get from her so that I can find the right quail link?
Will they handle outside temps in the winter? hot hot can they take it? do they get the same diseases as chickens? how chicken like are quail? Apparently they are all female, three of them, and she got them as chicks. That's all I know.
