Quail vent issues Graphic pics

I posted this on the medical part but as of yet havent recived any answers and the last time i posted about quail they told me to post here anyways so here goes
I have a little one that had really bad pasty but when he was tiny about a week old and was completly blocked I unstuck him and helped him poo as it was stuck but his little vent hasnt been the same it leaks clear liquid and it seems to push out more then it should and it smells and he gets crusty stuff on his butt fuzz and feathers . Anyone know whats wrong with him and how to fix it. I dont actully know if he is a boy or girl though

You could try using Preparation H on it to help reduce the swelling. And I would also get him on some antibiotics. It sounds like he has some infection going on there if it has bad smell. Penicillin if you have any even Doxy will work for such soft tissue infections. ALSO...try soaking his butt in epsom salts or even some Betadine, (some sort of iodine solution) for a week to help draw out the infection.

Thank you . I sure hope I can get him better . I wish I could figure out if they were boys or girls lol I just randomly call them all him or her.
