Quail was found laying on her side

I need some help one of my quail I found this morning she was laying on her side and couldn’t stand up like she was to heavy to hold herself up and kept opening and closing her mouth like she was gasping she was alive laying on her side in a separate area all day she pee and poop while she was laying on her side when i first gave her some water but then i went In tonight to see how she was doing and give her more water it look like she was spitting up the water then i tried again and her crop just seem like it filled up and she passed away what what could of happen And what should I try or do next time this happens besides just cull if i could try to help if possible

What were you feeding her?
What was her home like?
Are any of your other birds showing any symptoms?

There are several possibilities from injury to malnutrition to disease. If you could answer the questions above we will have a somewhat better idea.
