Hiya BYC! I've been searching for the best kinds of quail waterers, and would like to hear what you all prefer to use. I was looking into the poultry cup systems but I can't seem to find any online that aren't garbage. Any ideas? The quail will be kept in large hutches, so nothing too big as you would put in an aviary. Thanks!

I had the best luck with a 1-liter pop bottle strung up over a glass pie plate so that the opening of the suspended bottle would refill the pie dish. For ADULT birds only. For chicks, a glass tart plate (mini pie plate) with marbles covering the bottom, and water put in.

We use cat/rabbit food bowls from the dollar store. Shallow enough they can jump in and not drown but my 7 girls never run out if I fill it once a day

I’ve used a couple different things with mine, right now I’m alternating between regular chick waterers and homemade ones using poultry cups off Amazon. My favorite was the nipple water system I was using until it froze. My birds have adapted to all 3 with no problems 🙂

Ours couldn't figure out the nipple waterers and or the cups that have that lil yellow do-hicky in it but they loved these here cups ... ours were hocked up to a 5 Gal bucket via PVC pipe (we'd tried the clear hose but exposure to the elements made the hose bridle and sag, so some waterers got cut of from the water supply - thus the PVC pipe)
