i hatched my own corenix quail because I herd thay eat there own poo so I was wondering if thay eat pigeon poop as well

Uhh.....no. They do not eat their own poop. And they do not eat other poop either. Maybe on accident occasionally if the poop is in their feeder. Is this a joke? If you are serious, head on over to: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/quail.48/ to learn about quail.

They need high protein feed, in the 26-30% range. Usually sold as either "Turkey Starter" or "Gamebird Feed". If you cant get hold of feed that high in protein, you can supplement lower protein chicken feed by adding an additional source of protein. If you do not, the birds will not thrive and egg laying will either not happen, or be greatly reduced. If you are raising for meat, it will take a lot longer and your "finished" birds will be smaller.

I herd thay did that's all

From where? And was it said in a manner where the concept was they would get good nutrition from it? Or was it in a more negative light, like saying "Aww crap, they are dumb and eat their own crap. It is bad for them but they do it anyway! How can I stop them?"

Because yeah, any bird is probably going to occasionally eat some poop, but quail are no more likely to do it than any other bird. I just worry because you posted in the "Feeding" forum and are asking about quail eating poop. Which makes me think you are under the impression they can eat poop as a food source. Especially since you seem to say in your post that you hatched them BECAUSE you heard they eat poop.

Lets think about that from a math perspective.

Lets say a quail eats some good food. That food is worth 5 "energies". The quail uses 3 of those energies and poops out the remaining 2. So now what happens? The quail eats the poop (only worth 2 energies now) and....what? It is worth less than the three energies they need to function, so they have to eat more than before? And then the poop is worth nothing. So they eat it and it provides zero energies to them. It is like them eating a rock.

This is not a real perfect example, but the idea of eating poop as an energy source is not a winning concept. At least not as a primary source of energy.
