Hi everyone! I am incubating some coturnix eggs and would like to hear from other folks who are doing the same. At what point do I stop turning the eggs.?
Many Thanks,
Francine

Counting the day you set them in the incubator as Day 0, you can stop turning on Day 14 and enter lockdown. They should start popping out two-three days after that.

Howdy Francine

You can stop turning the eggs on day 14 or 15. If you have a hatcher you can move them to it and increase the humidity to 60 - 65%, if not just leave in the bator and turn the automatic turner off, or if hand turning just stop turning. Raise the humidity to 60-65% . HTH

Also a good idea to candle before lockdown and remove blanks. I remove the turner entirely and line the bottom of the incubator with rubber shelf liner (with holes) and lay the eggs down. Quail chicks tend to spraddle if they can't get their feet under them.
