I keep hearing "when I get more eggs". I have 6 females and 2 males-Courtnex and I get 6 eggs a day. I have mountains of eggs. I fry'em and pickel'em and use them to cook with. I call them POPPERS.
I keep my quail in a double rabbit cage and they are so gentle from day one. They eat 28% feed and beet tops, cucumbers, bread etc. They don't like sweet corn. They like cauliflower and most other veggies. They lay in their bath/sand box. They go through a lot of oyster shell and that makes for hard shells.

My goal is to pickle the eggs and sell them to the local bars. My girlfriend sells her pickled chicken eggs for $1.00 each.

I am cutting down on the number of chickens that I have and using quail as a substitute for eggs and meat.
