Does anyone know if I need a permit in Ga for peacock or quail

I am not sure about peacocks, (and I don't believe you need a lic. for them but check in our pea fowl section here on BYC,) but you can keep Coturnix quail or Button quail without a license. Only the native species of quail like Bobwhites, Gambels, California's, etc... require a license to keep.

Any bird or animal that has a legal hunting season in your state needs a permit or license. Most states will issue you a hobby permit as long as you just keep a small number of birds and don't sell them commercially. I don't believe any state in the U.S. requires a license for PFowl.
