This is Stick, and she is 13.5 weeks old! I was pretty sure she’s a she, but I noticed her wattle area getting red. I mean they have to develop at some point, right? Or do you think Stick is a cockerel?

Here’s a pic of the comb area! I don’t think Polish get combs; at least, my Polish hen doesn’t have one. And here’s a better pic of the wattles I saw today!Stick is an absolute treasure! What an adorable bird. I don't see wattles so much as the "clown makeup" around the corners of the mouth. One of my bantam pullets has that, so I'm not positive that it's indicative of a male. Does Stick have any comb at all under that hairdo?
And thank you!! We love our frizzled Polish chicks. They are so cute.Stick is an absolute treasure! What an adorable bird.
Since she's 13 weeks, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Some of them redden up early. Plus, you should know within the next 3-6 weeks if Stick starts growing saddle feathers. Here’s a pic of the comb area! I don’t think Polish get combs; at least, my Polish hen doesn’t have one. Ok, I’ll keep watching! Here is her brother who hatched at the same time. It’s harder to compare them because he’s not frizzled obviously. But I hope Stick is a girl because I just sold three of my pullets (her sisters) today hahaSince she's 13 weeks, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Some of them redden up early.
