Quail

Can adult quail feet slip through 1/2 inch hardware cloth? Or would it be better if you use 1/4 inch hardware cloth? I am building a quail pen so I need to know this before I start building because in about 10 days my eggs are going to hatch! BTW this is also a talking thread for quail!

If Coturnix you will be fine with 1/2 once they are big enough to move from the brooder. I always left something they could get on to rest their feet. 1/4 is to small.
