Quails Can Make Wonderful Companions!

You can get a thing called a "flight suit" for your quail that is constructed with a pouch under the bird's vent to catch the poo, that the bird can wear when out of the cage. Several places make or carry them and you can measure your bird to find out the size.

That being said, I have not yet been able to get Coco to hold still for me to get the durn thing on! He's not afraid of it, he just won't stand still and it is hard to get it on a bird who is on the move, LOL!

I am thinking of getting him a flight suit. However, he's still growing, and if I get a flight suit that fits him now, it would be too small for him later in the future! So I have to wait until he grows to full size, then I could get a flight suit for him. Good luck on you and Coco!
