Hi...
Newbie here with a possibly silly question!!
I have 10 quail eggs sat under a very broody light sussex x frissian? bantam.
They have been under for a week now, but my friend has told me that the chicken will continue to turn them for too long and that they will not be able to hatch and will die.
She has suggested moving them into her incubator for the last few days to give them a better chance.
Does this sound a good idea or will they be ok with the chook??
The friend had 9 eggs off of me 18 days ago and put them in her incubator.... only 4 hatched and two of them had splayed legs.... Is this a normal hatch rate? Is there anything that causes splayed legs or is it just unlucky?
Sorry for all the questions.... I hope someone can help me
