Quails hatching

Today is day 15 of my quail eggs in the incubator and there is no sign of movement in the eggs. Last time I candled them there were veins and you could only see the air sack in them. How long until they start hatching and is there the possibility non will hatch.

They take around 18 days to hatch.
Give them till day 22 they should start hatching in the next 2 days but if not don’t worry about it.
There is a possibility none will hatch but with them having veins it’s a low chance.

I managed to hatch one quail last year but it died less than a week later so I’m hoping I will get a few more but I’m not used to hatching quail

Yeah it’s always the worst your first few hatch’s you’ll get less nervous as you go lockdown is the worst part but just leave them alone and it’ll be fine.

I’ve had 2 hatch on Friday and this morning I noticed piping and movement in some of the other eggs. How long from piping until they start zipping and hatching as it’s been 4 ish hours since I noticed. Do I need to help them in any way

Sometimes they rest for 24 hours before they start to zip.

Congrats on the hatched babies and as 007sean said they sometimes wait up to 24hrs from pip to zip
