qualis dont lay eggs !!!

I bought 5 japaneas quails 5 months ago and they have not layed a single egg!!! what do i do?? i got 4 females and 1 male i also have 7 bob white quials in the same cage i dont know if thats one of reason why they dont lay help !

Housing different breeds together is not recommended... Your lucky the Japanese quail are still alive... as bobs get really territorial and are cannibalistic...

bobs at the most should be 2f to 1m Paired is best. separate cages.

Stress is leading cause of stunted egg production or not old enough or molting, wrong food can also be a cause. Lack of 14 to 16 hours of daylight/artificial light.

I use Purina startina Gamebird chow. expensive but hasn't failed yet. experimenting with a 5 grain and a bug light (for protein).
